Kids are my life. I am so incredibly passionate about children and the light that they bring to our lives. Having my own son, I am familiar and accepting of all different kinds of parenting techniques and discipline. I pride myself on being responsible, tidy, on-time, and having a passion for people of all ages. I have always loved kids. I began babysitting when I was 12 years old after enrolling in a babysitting class and CPR class. After that, I cared for several families in the neighborhood ranging from ages 2-8. Throughout College, I knew that I wanted to work with kids. I went to school for nursing and volunteered at a hospice where I had the privilege to spend time with children and act as their companion, caregiver relief, and even a vigil. I moved to Seattle after College and volunteered at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and worked with children in the Child Life department. There I did crafts with the patients, played board games, provided them with any meal and drink requests, and even painted our nails together! Even with all of the experience of volunteering and working with children, I have gained the majority of my knowledge and compassion through having my very own son, who is now one year old!
