Nanny Job in Thornhill, Ontario

Hi there, my name is Lori. We are a fun family of four (5 if you include our dog!) with one daughter, age 12, and another age 7. Our 7 year old is on the Autism Spectrum. We are looking for a nanny, with some experience working with special needs kids. She is very high functioning, but has some behavioural difficulties, especially during times of stress or when there is less structure in her life. We are looking for someone to bring some structure and schedule to her days, implement and follow through on reward systems and visual schedules. Responsibilities would include picking up from school (a few blocks away), hanging out with her after school (minimizing TV time), providing and preparing meals, and some light cleaning during the day while she is at school. There may also be some transportation to programs for both of our daughters, so ideal candidate would have a car available. Our 12-year old is fairly self-sufficient so responsibilities for her would mostly be providing meals and the occasional transportation. We would entertain live in or live out for the right person. We are located in Thornhill, between Dufferin and Bathurst, ,near Center Street. Both my husband and I work full time, so we are looking to start someone as soon as they can be available.
