In school, my hard work and determination have allowed me to achieve a steady 80 grade average. My outgoing personality allows me to take on a leadership role in everything I do, and I am always looking for new ways to gain responsibility, challenge myself, and go outside of my comfort zone. I have experience working as a camp counsellor at a summer nature camp. My job was to care for children ranging from the ages of 4 to 13. I assisted in preparing activities during the day and encouraged campers to participate and get involved. I also led the campers through daily routines and activities and prepared morning and afternoon meals, cleaning afterwards to maintain a sanitary environment. In high school I also took a "family studies" course where we interacted with preschool children and prepared lesson plans, assisted in arts and crafts, and participated in their play time.
