Iam Emelita,a Filipina and a university graduate of adamson university with earning units in education.Being the eldest in a family of 11 my experience in taking care of infants and children started at an early age.This developed in me the patience and love for children.I realized that it is a great previledge to be a part of a child's development as a person when you are able to guide them properly with much understanding,care, patience ,respect and love.Being with children makes me feel young and appreciate the simpleness of life.Aside from my siblings I also had the chance to look after other children of other families in the Philippines whom I have treated like my siblings.When I had my own 2 wonderful children,my love for children grew deeper .My teaching experience to more than 200 grade one pupils at the Colegio de San Agustin was indeed an unforgettable one because it gave me a broader understanding of how young people are affected with old people around them. newborn to toddlers-change diapers,bathe them,prepare meals for them,let them eat and give them milk/water/juice,teach them to stand/walk,put them to sleep,supervise all their activities while awake,teach them to say words ,recognize things,nursery rhymes and other things like numbers/alphabets. School age-I was a grade one teacher in math and good manners and right conduct to more than 200 pupils and a math tutor to several grades one to 5 pupils.
