I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for taking the time to go over my profile. I am a serious applicant looking for work during the summer months. I have a long history of working with children (I first babysat when I was merely 13 years old!) and I truly enjoy their company. I speak French as a second language so if you find this to be helpful (If your children attend a French Immersion Elementary School in the area) I will gladly practice with your child! I have a repertoire of fun games for rainy days as well as learning games to keep the mind sharp! I am a fan of exploring the world around so I prefer to be able to do light travelling with children - the zoo, day trips to parks, rivers, fishing (depending on age) etc. I find the children learn so much more from being able to experience what the environment has to offer. Wading pools, splash pads on hot days or just fun in the back yard will be routine. I can cook healthy meals with food from all four food groups-fruit and vegetables are a staple at my own home and I would make sure these were available to the children at all times. I can never let a child go hungry and healthy meals (snack , lunch , snack) will be scheduled in advance. I enjoy encouraging today\'s children to be the best they can and to learn how to co-operate well with others. It is truly important to me to see children learning how to be a kind , caring human being. I planned activities such as nature walks, transportation trips (city bus ride) , planned and implemented daily activities to help with all five domains of child development. I currently work for the school board in a senior kindergarten French Immersion class and tend to 30 children with one other teacher. Together we plan and implement continuous activity for the children to learn all the criteria necessary to succeed in grade one. In both positions my duties have included yet are not limited to plan an activity, prepare it, demonstrate it, aide the children in accomplishing the activity, then tidy up and tear down. I also fed the children, tidied up, washed up the children, and read to them. I kept a daily routine with a weekly plan scheduled ahead. I am also a mom myself and that is an experience all on its own.
