I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'m a mother to an infant boy and a toddler boy. My experience with girls is limited, but then again, I am one, so I feel I have that covered. When parenting, and by extension, babysitting, I aim for a firm but fair approach. I find bargaining to be a useful tool. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"If you do this for me, I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'ll do that for you.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" I also rely heavily on empathy. I believe it\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s important to understand why a child is behaving the way they are, in order to determine the best resolution of any issues that arise. Children, especially younger children, only act out of a sense of need. I find that keeping this in mind helps me to form a bond with my kids and makes them willing to work with me. I am a full time mother of two boys. I also have a cat and have had dogs before.
