Nanny in Lethbridge, Alberta

I grew up in Pincher Creek, Alberta in a small 4-person family. I have a younger brother whom I was usually in charge of caring for while my parents were at work or away. We grew up with pets (dogs and cats), therefore I have no issues with animals. When I was teenager I took a babysitting course that was offered in my town and I babysat for two different families (one with a 2-year old boy and the other with an 18-month baby girl and a 2-year old boy) on a regular basis throughout my Junior High years. I began university in a combined Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Education degree where I gained valuable experience working with children from grades 1 through 4; however, after completing two of my practicums I came to the realization that, although I love working with children, the teaching profession itself was not for me. As a result of this realization I will instead be graduating with a Bachelor of Science - Major in Psychology this December (2013) and I am planning on moving to Calgary as of January 2014. I will be living in Lethbridge until then, taking on part-time studies at the university for May and for June and then full-time studies in the Fall semester (September to December), meaning that my availability while I am living in Lethbridge is limited to July and August. I am currently living with my boyfriend and my brother in Lethbridge, both of whom I have lived with for the past 4 years. My boyfriend and I both plan on residing in Calgary post graduation. I enjoy cooking, baking, cleaning, organizing, outdoors activities, sewing, quilting, casual video games, and anything that involves arts and crafts. I am not a very competitive person, therefore I am not really into sports, but for the most part I am very open to new experiences, activities, and potential hobbies. I am a very warm-hearted, compassionate, and empathetic individual. I have always felt the need to care for others and to help them along their paths to success. Nothing makes me happier than seeing those I care about smiling, enjoying life, and succeeding in whatever they do. I am highly responsible and punctual and I firmly believe in the importance of remaining professional in any given situation that will ensure the safety or others and/or any property that I am responsible for. Because of this I am very dedicated and hard-working regardless of whatever task I am faced with. Despite my strong regard for professionalism, I am extremely friendly, easy going, and easy to get along with.
