Nanny in Kanata, Ontario

I currently attend Algonquin College and am enrolled in the Community and Justice Services program. I genuinely care about the well-being of others, therefore working in a field in which I have the opportunity to use my ability to work well with others has been an extremely beneficial and rewarding experience. I absolutely love being surrounded by children and contributing to the growth of their mental, physical and emotional process in a positive way. After working at CHEO as a playroom monitor in the Oncology Unit, the well-established environment changed the way I care for others in a way that is unimaginably unexplainable. I couldn\'t be more grateful. - Completed a co-op placement/summer volunteer program at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario as a playroom monitor. (Arranged activities for the patients as well as one on one patient care) - Took part in the Run for the Cure, while spending lots of time at Roger’s house, a palliative children’s hospice establishment that provides exceptional end of life care for patients - For the last two years, I've been both a live-in and live-out nanny for a family with a son named Ryden. Ryden and I have spent lots of time together since he was a newborn. Days were spent engaging in mentally stimulating activities, in which they range now all the way to outdoor, adventurous experiences. While Ryden went down for a nap, I tended to duties such as light housekeeping, meal preparation and ensuring that their home was maintained in a hygienic and baby-friendly manor.
