Nanny in Victoria, British Columbia

Hello! I am a BEd student at the University of Victoria and I'm looking for part time work. As a future teacher, taking care of children and planning fun and educational activities is my passion. I also have work experience as a housekeeper, so I would be glad to help with cleaning and cooking. I love art, and helping kids with crafts is one of my favourite things to do. I keep a very active lifestyle and love animals. I have been babysitting since I was 12, and have been a nanny for two families. For my first family, the father of the children decided to become a stay-at-home dad and I was no longer needed. I also nannied for a year for a family with 3 children under the age of 6. Some of my skills include: -Being mindful and adaptable to every child's individual needs -Managing an active calendar of appointments including school and after school activities -Safely handling transportation, pick up and drop off of children -Preparing and serving meals with knowledge about balanced nutrition -Organizing fun and educational activities outdoors and indoors -Performing light housekeeping duties, including grocery shopping, laundry and cleaning -Displaying a positive attitude on a daily basis that was consistently praised by parents -Skilled at establishing an open and safe environment for communication I have also volunteered at Emily Follensbee School (an elementary school for children with disabilities).
