Nanny in Fraser Lake, British Columbia

I am looking for employment as a live-in Nanny. I prefer infants, toddlers or preschool children. I would prefer only working in British Columbia. I do not want to work in other provinces because I would like to get home to visit my husband occasionally. I love working with children. I love introducing children to the joys of reading or even just learning to sing silly songs or nursery rhymes. I have an active imagination and I love to spend time teaching them to explore the world around them, away from the television or the computer. I am a quiet person who loves spending time outdoors. I am available immediately. I recently had a criminal check done. I totally believe in being honest and I like to have open communication with the parents of the children I work with. It is good to know that once a week or at the end of each day, we can have a brief conversation about how things are going, and talk about any questions or concerns we may have. Before moving to BC in 2009, I used to work in Ottawa, Ontario, looking after children in their homes, usually from about 7:30 a.m - 6 p.m. in the evening. I like to keep the children busy playing outside or reading stories. I lived in the U.S. for almost 10 years, from 1993 -20..., and I worked in a daycare looking after children (infants to preschool). I worked as a live-in nanny back in the early 80's. I love working with children. I have worked for two different lawyer families, caring for their children, toddlers, and school aged children. I did light housework, like laundry, keeping the house tidy, preparing lunch for the children, helping the children with their homework. My main focus is always the care of the children, keeping them healthy and happy.
