Nanny in Oshawa, Ontario

I am excited to find a family who want a caregiver for their little ones, that are eager for their children to stay in their own environment.I love the home where the child can learn boundaries and responsibility, at an early age.I prefer a setting where television and computer are not the babysitter.I do use them for some activities but find limiting their use will eliminate dependency. I presently clean homes for people on Thursday and Friday, but would consider giving that up if the right family was in need of full-time care. I enjoy taking children to (approved) activities that give them an opportunity to interact with others to develop their socialization skills. I have 7 Years experience with my special needs granddaughter who was total care.I have also been involved with childcare off and on for over 30 years in my own home and other people's homes as well as involvement in children's teaching and care giving at church activities for over 30 years. One live out nanny job I had, was with 6 children.There were only 2 who remained home during the day, as I had to insure the others were dressed,prepared breakfast and lunches for them and sent them to the bus. I had a small playgroup in my home where the children came to a semi-structured activities environment.The last live-out nanny position I had was for 2 children in a part-time position.I had the joy of teaching the youngest,a 4 year-old girl how to read and write!I enjoy all ages but love the younger ones as we can do crafts,play silly games,etc. I would actually prefer Courtice,Oshawa or Whitby area.I do have a vehicle but love an area where your home has parks and facilities that are within walking distance. I will be upgrading my Red Cross certification in the spring.
