HI My name is Mary McPherson, I saw your ad for an occasional babysitter I am an organized, mature, kind, caring, creative, active, enthusiastic, and upbeat, young woman who recently graduated with my Honours Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. I am currently pursuing my second degree; a Bachelor of Commerce in Supply Chain Management at Algonquin College. I've had 15 years experience with children. I grew up with two younger brothers and many younger cousins, so I would always watch them when my parents or aunts and uncles were out. I started babysitting for other people's families when I was 12 and have so every since. I traveled to Paris and was an au pair for 6 months, where i was responsible for the care and management of 2 children aged 3 and 5. I am looking for a part time, occasional babysitting job while I am in school. I am mostly available for evening and weekend work, but I have quite a bit of daytime/afternoon availability. I have my full license. If you're looking for someone to watch your kids while you have a date night with your significant other, a night out with friends or simply some time away from the kids, I am the perfect candidate for you. I grew up with babysitters who would just put on a movie and leave it at that... I think that screen time is ok in moderation, but I definitely try to engage the children I'm looking after with other means of entertainment. Be it board games, crafts, colouring, cooking or baking (depending on age), playing outside, or playing with toys. I know I wish my babysitters would have taken my opinions into consideration at times. So I make sure that the kids are doing something that they are enjoying and is enriching their minds.
