Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

I'm an
Individual
I am a very outgoing, athletic, trusting, responsible individual. I absolutely love children and have lots of experience with several ages. I am originally from New Brunswick on the East Coast of Canada, and recently moved to Toronto, residing near the Yonge and Eglinton area. I moved to Toronto as my partner’s software company relocated him here. I just previously worked at Fredericton Residential Youth Services, Crisis Unit, working Full time hours, responsible for maintaining a safe, developmental environment for troubled youth with social, emotional, and psychological difficulties (depression, self-harm, aggressive and violent tendencies, abused, multiple disorders) within a secured crisis unit residence. Crisis intervention (NVCI certified), debriefing, first aid, NVCI restraints, program planning, youth mentoring, transportation to court hearings and social development, interaction with social workers for developmental programs, daily behavioral logs, mentoring, and life skills development. I currently hold my Bachelor’s degree, with a double major in criminology and psychology, with a minor in gerontology. I aspire to become a future social worker in the near future. I do have nanny experience, as this past spring and summer I was a travelling nanny for a South African family in Camrose Alberta. I maintained full responsibility of a 3 month old infant. Tending to needs of feeding, changing, bathing, playing, and caring for. Preparation of bottles, daily scheduling, medical appointments, driving to activities, implementing gross and fine motor skills and developmental activities weekly. Travelling from around Alberta, over the United States and Mexico with travelling family. For more information about my nanny experience, do not hesitate to ask. I also have previous child care experience running a summer program for children ages 4-12 for 5 consecutive summers, running a winter sports program for children ages 5-13, Santa’s helper at a photography booth in Regent Mall, and also being the Easter Bunny Mascot for two consecutive seasons within the Regent Mall as well (part of the Guest Services team). I am very easy to get along with and I am absolutely a people person and people find me very approachable. I can be the competitive sporty caregiver who is lots of fun to the sweet caring open ended care giver who is always there to listen. I am someone who will have a great impact and always has the best interest of the child in mind. Everything is about them, and I just want to contribute to the awesome childhood that they already have. I am seeking full time employment near the intersection of Yonge and Eglinton in Toronto Ontario. Somewhere that is easy to commute to from Erskine Avenue (my current address). I do not have my own vehicle, but I do hold a New Brunswick class 5 licence, and I am willing to transport if there is a vehicle provided. I am NVCI certified, and I have my First Aid/CPR AED Level C. -July, 2014 – March, 2015 Fredericton Residential Youth Services, Crisis Unit (shift work/day, evening, night) Full time hours, responsible for maintaining a safe, developmental environment for troubled youth with social, emotional, and psychological difficulties (depression, self-harm, aggressive and violent tendencies, abused, multiple disorders) within a secured crisis unit residence.
