Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

Hola Potentials, You know, after reading 'The Nanny Diaries' I feel confident I've learned everything I need to know about nannying, if Nan can mitigate the families of the Upper East Side of Manhattan than I've got Toronto covered. But, all joking aside, I graduated University over two years ago and have been playing with the idea of going to Teachers College. I've had experience working with kids since I was in high school and even before my mother, who is a teacher, often called on me to help her on field trips and swim meets. I've worked at camps, babysat and for the last seven, or so, years I have worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor. I find working with children a refreshing change from some of my other jobs, ie retail or administrative work. Adults have a habit of being a lot more whiny and demanding. I also spent most of University career tutoring English to students (mostly from Japan, China and Korea) studying abroad. Since I was a kid I've loved to draw, paint and craft, so much so that come Christmas my mother turns me into a slave creating hand-drawn holiday cards for family. Looking forward to hearing from you, Stuart I have over seven years of experience lifeguarding and swim instructing to children of a variety of ages. I have been responsible for maintaining pool safety, teaching stroke improvement, planning and serving lunches and overseeing arts and crafts. Most of my experience is with children between the ages of 1 and 12.
