Hi there! I'm Sarah, and I'm a supply teacher who is looking to provide childcare and/or tutoring for a family/families this summer. I have many years of experience working with babies and children. I have babysat since I was 13, I have worked at 3 different day camps, I have tutored children in reading (in both French and English), I have been a nanny for a child with special needs, and I have run a small summer program for children whose parents were clients at a settlement agency. I also work with children in the classroom, of course. I am currently doing supply work, so I get to work with children from kindergarten up to Grade 8, and I get to teach all subjects, including music and French! I'm gentle and caring, and I have a high level of empathy for the children I work with. I also find it important to be firm when dealing with rules and holding children accountable for their actions (e.g. if they make a mess, having them clean it up themselves). I am creative and energetic, and I love singing and making other music with children. I also love doing science experiments, arts and crafts, drama activities, and spending lots of time outdoors, whether it be going to the park or having adventures in the backyard. I enjoy reading with children, helping them to write stories, and doing other word-related activities with them.
