Hi there. Let me introduce myself. I\'m Tracy I am a fun loving, care-free, child at heart. I love getting down and playing with kids on their level. I am a woman, wife, mother and friend to many. I enjoy going out and exploring the city and pretending I am a tourist where I live. I also enjoy traveling. I cycle, dapple in running ;), crochet, crafting of all kinds. I am creative and let that shine through. I like to bake and cook. In my spare time, I dapple in event planning. Birthday parties, baby showers and fundraising for our local parenting drop in centre. I have been married for 8 years, have a 4 year old wonderful daughter, who will be starting kindergarten in the fall. She has grown and developed into an avid reader, and creative mind. She enjoys the many things in life I do. She is loving and kind, a gentle and sensitive spirited child. I am proud to be given the opportunity to be her mother. In saying that, I have been given a new perspective on the relationship of a child and parent, and I think that will make me an even better caregiver/nanny to your child/ren. I like routine and structure, but I also like to mix things up every now and again in order to keep things fresh and spontaneous. The time in my life that brought me the most joy (career speaking) has been when I worked as a nanny. I enjoy the relationships that are built with the families I\'ve worked with, and the intimacy with the children and in that environment the learning potential is exponentially larger than life. For as long as I can remember I have worked with children. I have babysat, camp councillor, Sunday school teacher, nanny for 10 years and have run my own home daycare or 3 years. After much reflection, I shine (career wise) as a nanny, This is where I feel my best comes out. I have experience working with 4 children in my care. I have recently taken to the Montessori methods and Reggio Emilio practices with the children I work with, including my own daughter. I encourage independence with loving guidance and help and encouragement along the way. I enjoy working with families, instead of for families, to ensure the children are best cared for and have a continuity of rules and expectations and collaborate with the parents. Making for smooth transitions from day to night. I believe children in the young years thrive with a home environment and opportunities to be around other children via, playgroups, libraries, field trips and the good old fashioned playdates. My experience looking after others' children, prior to having my own child, has only been enriched with becoming a mother. I now know first hand what it is to love someone so unconditionally that you want the best for your child when you are not there to care for your child. I do not profess to be the best childcare provider in the world, but I do my best and strive to do better.
