Nanny in Ottawa, Ontario

Hi there, I'm Natasha, but my mom (and tiny humans) call me Tasha! I'm 27 years old, Born and raised in Ottawa and graduated from College catholique Franco-Ouest in 2012 with a High Skills Major in law. I also obtained a certificate for the participation in a specialized law program throughout high school. I am a huge Disney fan (I pretty much know the movie frozen by heart). I love to explore and learn new things, Toys R us is one of my favourite stores and I often find it really hard not to buy all the cool educational toys! I am constantly browsing Pinterest for craft or age appropriate activities to expand my early childhood education 'portfolio'. Lastly, I feel most at home when I'm in a classroom, daycare room or even at home with the tiny humans, providing them with many opportunities to learn, explore and express themselves in a loving, educational and safe environment. I was employed by The City of Ottawa as a preschool and children program instructor for various programs such as dance, cooking, science, drama, toddler drop in, and skating. I was camp coordinator for the city of Ottawa for 2 consecutive summers, as well as camp counsellor at a French day camp I've also babysat for numerous families over the years. I also worked in a licensed childcare centre where I really learned a lot about children development as well as many other things which lead me to discover my passion for teaching our tiny humans. I carried the positions of after school care counsellor, working with children between the ages of 4-12. I also worked as a daycare teachers assistant with children ages 18-30 months as well as the main teacher for the toddler class (ages 3.4). My certifications include: First aid, CPR-C, AED, High Five (Principles of Healthy Child Development), CCEYA (THE CHILD CARE AND EARLY YEARS ACT), a certification mandated by the government when working in a licensed childcare centre. I have also attended a Child Behaviour Management course and have attended a Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) Training. I have also obtained a leadership certificate, a prevention certificate and I have no criminal record. I'm looking for a family with whom I can grow with with the hopes of becoming extended family.
