Nanny in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Hi there, My name is Basia Sowinski. I have a lot of experience working with children and would love to continue to build on my childcare skills. I just returned home from working at a YMCA summer camp called Big Cove. I have been working there for the past 3 years as a camp counsellor for children from the ages of 6-14. I have also worked at Dalplex pool as a lifeguard and I have volunteered at Laing House and at Allegro Childcare Centre. From these past years of experience I have learned a lot about interacting with kids and keeping them safe. I have valid First Aid and CPR certifications. I am well prepared for any childcare position, having been involved in a great deal of recreational and child-centered activities. I am able to take on the responsibility of being a Nanny. I have enthusiasm, energy, strong communication skills and a great work ethic. I am certain I can make a success out of any opportunity presented to me. I have worked at a summer camp called Big Cove YMCA Camp for 3 years now. I have a lot of experience counselling children at this camp as well as managing and providing support for other staff also working with children. I have worked at Dalplex as a lifeguard and also interact with children while on the job at the pool. As well, I have babysitting experience and other volunteer experience (at Laing House and Allegro Childcare Centre) that have taught me childcare skills.
