Hi, my name is Lynlea. I have worked with children from newborns to 14 years old. During my grad 12 year I had the pleasure of volunteering with my school\\\'s Kindergarten class for 6 months. During this time I helped the teacher organize snack time and nap time. I mainly helped the children during journal time and with their reading groups. Journal time was where the children worked on their alphabet, how to read and write, and also to start familiarizing them with basic math. To me working with children is a rewarding job because in time you are able to see how your hard work has paid off as their growth development shines. I hope I am able to help your child (ren) learn and grow like the children I have worked with in the past. I have a younger brother whom was born when I was 10 years old and have acted as a second mother to him ever since. I have had the pleasure of volunteering with my community school's Kindergarten class for 6 months the year I graduated grade school. While I was working inside the class room I was able to experience working with twins, children with behavioral issues, slow learners, and children with FASD and ADD. These were the best 6 months of my life as I was able to help the children learn and grow.While I worked at the YMCA I worked with children from 4 months to 12 years old. I was part of a group that organized and facilitated weekly camps for Pre-school and Kindergarten aged children. I also volunteered with the older camp groups in the evenings, assisting the camp leaders with supervision, medical emergencies, and area clean up. The children in the older camps groups were of ages 6-12 years.
