Hi Everyone! I would just like to take a quick second to introduce myself - My name is Tamara and I am a 30 year old registered early childhood educator. I live in Acton with my husband and our beautiful one year old daughter. I consider myself very lucky to do what I do as a career path working with children on a daily basis. Currently, I am a designated early childhood educator with the Waterloo Region District School Board; working within their full time kindergarten program. That being said, I will be taking some time off to start my own childcare center to serve the families of Acton. Since returning to work, I have realized how hard it is to find a trusting, caring and reliable childcare option. My desire is to provide a parent friendly, family and child oriented program. Daily activities and regular routines are important to me; although I do like to remain flexible with other aspects of the program so that we can have fun with whatever the day brings - The kids are always interested in new things and there is lots of ways to investigate those interests. I will be serving whole foods, prepared fresh for snacks and lunches. Cooking experiences are a great way to have fun! Along with having a diploma in early childhood education from Sheridan College, I went to York University for one year to study child development. I also have current emergency first aid/CPR training and am registered and in good standing with the college of early childhood educators of Ontario.
