Hi! My name is Erica and I am an Ontario certified teacher looking for part-time, occasional and/or summer employment as a child caregiver. I have dedicated my life to helping children of all ages succeed in school, and now, I am looking for an opportunity to work with families outside of the classroom. I am a passionate, energetic and enthusiastic person with strong interpersonal skills, time management and organization. In my years of teaching, working with students of various age groups, I know how important it is to make sure that a family feels supported with the services I provide. As a caregiver, I would make sure that your child\'s comfort and safety comes first. I am certified in CPR/First Aid and would take all health considerations seriously. I have worked with students who come from diverse backgrounds and have various needs, and believe that all children should be fully included. In addition to taking care of what is needed at home, I would also be happy to create fun and exciting programming for your child. As a teacher, I am always creating engaging activities that spark students\' curiosity and foster critical thinking. Taking into account your child\'s interests, learning needs and goals, I would create activities and/or take trips with them around the city (as I have access to my own vehicle) that are educational and enjoyable. I have been working with children since I was sixteen years old as a camp counselor and baby sitter. I created fun and exciting programming at camp, while in transit to camp as a bus counselor and at children's homes when I baby sat for neighbours. I always make sure that all of the children in my charge were included and were able to participate fully in activities they found enjoyable. Since then, I have completed several degrees at university to pursue my lifetime passion for education. I am certified to teach students grades 7-12 in science and math, but I still enjoy working with younger students as I do so now as a supply teacher with Holy Trinity. In my time at university, I volunteered my time in schools developing science and nature programs for high school students. Now as a supply teacher, I am able to work with students of all subjects and grade levels (ranging from kindergarten to grade 12). As a Nanny, I would apply my educational training to whatever setting I would be in to encourage the safe and enjoyable care of your children.
