Hi! I grew up in PEI and moved to Ottawa to complete my undergraduate degree. I am now doing my Masters in Montreal but consider Ottawa my home. I completed my undergrad in Psychology and am currently completing my Masters in Speech-Language Pathology. When I finish my degree I hope to work with kids! I would love to care for your children this summer. I will plan fun games and outings and be sure to have lots of fun with the kids everyday! I am also willing to work with children with special needs, and plan suitable activities that will enhance their skills and learning. I\'m a kid at heart and can think of no better way to spend my summer than by making it memorable for your children. I look forward to meeting your family. Emma -Figure Skating coach: 6 years coaching children aged 4-12 how to figure skate. -Babysitting: 4 years casual experience when needed by the families- 5 different families regularly (mostly 2-3 children at a time). Prepared meals, light house-work, helped with homework, planned games and activities, and prepped for bedtime! -Summer camp instructor: 1 summer, at a science and technology summer camp in Ottawa. Was the instructor for children aged 6-8 years. Responsible for up to 10 campers each week. Planned and implemented the curriculum in an age appropriate manner. -Volunteered at an orphanage: 6-week volunteer experience at an orphanage in Ghana. Daily care for up to 20 children, which included bathing, games, homework, chores and teaching in a classroom. -SLP student practicums: 1 year of weekly practicums with a variety of children (pre-school and school age) as part of my Masters program in Speech-Language Pathology. Both group and individual settings. Instructing and planning language based games that are fun and engaging for each age group!
