Hey! I am a 25 yr old female who has been working with kids for 5 years. I currently am a Substitute Teacher for HRSB. I have been teaching Elementary for 3 years now and love it! It can be challenging but the reward defiantly outweighs the difficulties. Along with my experience working in a school setting, I also have spent my summers working in a daycare setting where I primarily worked with aged 6months-5yrs. I have always found happiness in working with children, and plan to continue to teach and learn from them for the rest of my career. Behavioral Interventionist (Autism Consultants NB) Sept ’12-Feb ‘11 Provided one-on-one therapy for pre-school aged children on the Autism Spectrum. This therapy took an ABA (Applied behavioral Analysis) approach that focused on changing behaviors through positive reinforcement which improved communication, social relationships, play, self care, and school. Kids & Company Daycare Aug ‘10 –Aug ’11 Worked as a preschool and toddler teacher in a daycare setting. Responsibilities included Organizing and leading activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development for ages 2-4. Also to provide a caring, nurturing and safe environment for the kids to explore.
