Nanny in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Hello there ! My name is Alexandra Connolly. I am a hard-working, motivated individual who enjoys being challenged everyday. In a world that stimulates children to the extreme, I enjoy old fashion, kid friendly activities. Going to the beach, out for walks, baking, crafts , going to the public library and attending activities out in the community are much more fun than video and computer games. I enjoy reading with children and helping them with their homework. I always find that children end up teaching me more than any university course ever did. Children keep things simple in a world that is so fast paced. I enjoy caring for children, it allows me to catch my breath and take life slower. Children are eternal optimists who truly live in the moment. I will be graduating from University of King\\\'s College ( with a Bachelor of Arts that has been accomplished at Dalhousie and Saint Mary\\\'s in accordance with King\\\'s.) in a few short weeks. I live in the south end of Halifax and own my own car. I love taking care of pets and have several at my parents house off the coast of chester. I love meeting new people and getting to know children. I love interviews :) I am looking forward to a beautiful summer and spending time learning from and taking care of children ! I have cared for several children over the years. The most rewarding and challenging experience was taking care of my two younger brothers. I baby sat my brothers immediately after obtaining my baby-sitters course when I was thirteen. I had many baby-sitting jobs through-out high school. I lived in a small town and word travelled fast that I was a fun, motivated, organized baby-sitter who would come with games and crafts. I was also a tutor through-out high school, helping younger children with english and essay writing skills. I am currently volunteering at school in conjunction with my sociology of education course at Saint Mary's. I am loving my volunteer position and am looking at continuing with my participation at the school after my semester at Saint Mary's is over.
