Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

Hello Parents, My name is Kayla Kricken, and I am a 27-year-old wife, mom, and teacher from Calgary, AB. I am currently a substitute teacher with the Calgary Board of Education. Additionally, I worked full-time as a grade 2 teacher before having my son. As COVID-19 has made subbing impossible for me to do this year , I am looking for a nanny position with a flexible family. I am also looking for a family that would be willing to let me bring my 18-month-old boy, Henry (shown in my profile picture), to work with me. As a teacher, I have had four years (as a student teacher, full-time teacher, and now as a substitute) working with children of all ages in a classroom setting. No child is too tough for me, I promise! I also believe it is important to bring fun and education together when working with children. If I was hired as your nanny I would bring my education expertise into everyday activities, whether at the park, backyard or at home. I would also love to be able to take your children (and Henry ;) ) on "field trips" to the library, pool, or cafe. I started working with children in an official capacity, when I took a job at a day home in 2013. This led me to my love for children, nannying, and my career as a teacher. I nannied for multiple families from the years of 2013-201..., mostly in the Marda Loop area. I love nannying and teaching because every day is different when working with children. I find children very entertaining and adorable no matter what age group (which is why I am now a mother too). I have worked with children of all ages. A quality I look for in a potential family is the ability to communicate with me. As I am being brought into your home, I believe a mutual trust and communication is very important for a nanny/family relationship to be successful. All in all, I love having fun with the children I am working with and promise to provide the absolute best care for them while you are not at home, as your peace of mind is extremely important to me.
