Hello, my name is Uma. I am an aspiring teacher candidate. I recently completed my Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies at Ryerson University and previously received my diploma for Early Childhood Education at George Brown College. Through my placements I have obtained experience with children aged 2-8 years in the daycare and school setting. During my placement experiences I worked closely with the children in building strong and trusting relationships. Through this I was able to make observations about their individual needs and interests which I used to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities. I really enjoy working with children and am happy to make a positive difference in their lives. I plan on attending the University of Ontario Institute of Technology this fall for my Bachelor of Education.
