Nanny Job in Sherwood Park, Alberta

Hello My name is Rachelle and I am currently looking for that special person to look after my children. I have a 2 year old daughter and 2 boys ages 6 and 7. My six year old has downs syndrome and is currently attending Kindergarden in the afternoons. We are looking for someone who is flexiable with hours but is avaliable for Monday, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from around 1pm-7pm. 1.Your responsibilities with the children would include some of the following: picking children up from school, taking kids for walks and playing at park, reading books and playing games, helping with homework, preparing a healthy dinner and bedtime routine. Communication is very important as my son with downs syndrome can talk but it is not really clear and very limited. He does use other methods such as some sign language ( easy to understand similar to baby sign) as well as a picture exchange system. Other duties would consist of light housekeeping and cooking meals for kids. I ask that you have a minimum of 2 years experience in working with children and must have CPR/first aid training. Also drivers licence and vehicle is an asset. Nanny must be patient, kind, creative, loving but able to discipline and still be outgoing and fun. Having experience with special needs is a plus.
