Hello! My name is Marielle and I am a recent graduate of Brock\'s Therapeutic Recreation program. I am a hard working, driven and adventurous individual, who is warm and outgoing. My hobbies include running, swimming, biking,pilates and yoga. I also am a singer and violist. I love being in the outdoors especially with friends, family and my loveable dog Sheldon! I have experience working with children for ten years, beginning as a respite family for children with special needs. The children would come and stay over for a weekend a month and we would play many games and partake in various activities for their enjoyment. Through this, I have experience with various abilities and feel comfortable. I have a foster brother who lives with my family full time with F.A.S and Adhd. We also currently are a respite family to a little boy with Down syndrome. I have worked for the city of Thunder Bay\'s recreation and culture division for five years. I was a leader at Playgrounds and the Neighborhood Recreation Program. Various tasks included: • Organized activities and supervised children age 5-12 • Planned and organized special events in the community with participants; • Completed required training and paperwork; • Complete Inclusion Services training Currently, I work for a day care in a fitness facility where I look after babies as young as 6 months to children up to age 12. I plan recreation and provide a safe environment. I have taken many children\'s development course as part of my degree.
