Hello my name is Courtney! I am a very friendly, patient, and outgoing individual and I thrive on being dedicated and responsible for anything that I am involved in. I am a graduate of the Child and Youth worker program and a registered Early Childhood Educator. I have always had a strong passion for working with children and that certainly shows throughout every aspect of my life! I have had over 10 years experience within the field and have extensive training and experience working with children from mental health issues, anger, social, and emotional issues to children with autism. I have a wide range of experience and have been exposed to many different settings working with kids. I have provided child care for children ages 6 months to 12 years of age. I am skilled in planning educational and physical activities for children of all ages, I am a strong believer in keeping kids active while having a fun time doing so! I come from a wonderful supportive family which I am very fortunate for! I grew up as the eldest sibling to two younger brothers who I absolutely adore. Family is very important to me and I love spending as much time with them as possible. Along with that I have been a live-out nanny for children ages 6 months- 3 years of age. I have also been a camp counsellor for many summers and have had the opportunity to work with children ages 3-14 years of age. I am still currently working for the YMCA in the childcare centre and I am also working as a Early Childhood Educator for the school board. I have completed many placements throughout various elementary schools in London for my graduate’s diploma as a Child and Youth worker and RECE. With all of that being said I am very knowledgeable in planning and engaging in age appropriate activities for children of all interests.
