Ashley Warburton has been an amazing support to me as a support worker for people with disabilities. Because she was so phenomenal, reliable, intuitive, kind soul naturally she was also hired to watch my niece now 10 and nephew now 7 since birth. Ashley has a natural ability to focus children in a fun loving caring away that consistently over the years avoids the need to yell. She sees when kids are starting down the potential path of breakdown and steers the circumstance another preventative way. Ashley genuinely loves children and when other teens are off to the side in the room or playground on their cell phones, Ashley can always be found playing, interacting and engaging the kids in positively role modelling ways. She invests the time relationship building and children quickly learn they can count on her and she is interested in them. Her calm, thoughtful, genuinely caring demeanor builds trust with the children she works with. I am a past Camp Director for several years and have seen many staff. Ashley is in my books highly recommended in your top 1% of hires. Too many examples to share how she has blown my mind how she could turn a situation that could have been explosive to a meaningful moment. One such time was Christmas when my nephew was extra excited and full of candy bouncing off the walls literally and he really wanted the adults to see what he had assembled and his mummy said not right now buddy with a hot turkey in her hands. Many people were in the room much closer to Finn but it was Ashley who was the only one who stood up from her circle of peers seeing where this was heading. She walked over to him as tears started to well and his fingers started to curl and arms raising in the air as adults tried to explain why Mummy was busy. Ashley just went to him smiled and said I'd love to see what you built. He was almost past it and Finn said But I want Mummy. Ashley in a Christmas dress did not bat an eyelash and just sat right there on the ground in front of him in the door way to be eye contact with him and said I bet you do in a warm voice tone. He sadly said 'Yeah' and Ashley from sitting eye contact said how about you show me and we get it extra ready for everybody shall we? And he excitedly said OK. Ashley did this intuitively not as a technique she just felt drawn to support and did it so naturally. She sees a need like empty glasses needing on their way to the kitchen as she supports getting kids getting ready to get dressed. If kids don't want to play outside she positions it extra fun so they want to join her. She is absolutely going to be the best decision you will ever make if you hire her.
