Hello Families :) I would like to introduce myself before I describe my qualities and personality to you and your Family. My name is Rikki Ashton and I am the Mother to a beautiful and inteligent young lady. I enjoy helping others and installing humanitarinism in everyone I come across. Paying it Forward is somthing i believe in very strongly. I am very dedicated to the welfare of young children and pride myself on the values and morals I have set for myself. I believe in respect first. I believe that a child is more than capable of expressing him/herself without the fear of being disciplined. I love to eduacte children in an emergent set curriculum based setting. I base learning off play and find this to be a very promising way to approach learning. Manors are also very important to who I am as I believe Mannors set the grounds for young people to grow and learn who they are and what they believe their willing to accept from others. Self-respect/self discipline are other great keys to the success of a young mind and to build their confidence in who they are that will take them well into their young adult life. I am a team player and would love to be added to you and the team of your Family. Working with others is somthing that I take seriously and communication is very important to the Educator and their families. I have a 7 year old Daughter full time as well as 2 Nephews ages 7 and 9 that I look after from time to time. I have helped several of my friends with raising their Children in areas that they have found to be complex and not to sure as how to address situations in a respectful and proper manor. I believe in respect of all people big or small and the smallest adjustment can make the biggest difference in a child life. I have completed 3 1/2 semesters of the Early Childhood Educator program at St.Clair College as well as I am a Certified Personal Support Worker. I understand the needs and values of ones self and take imense pride in ful-filling areas where one may be un able to aquire them theirselves.
