Nanny in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Hello everyone! I am a 23 year old student, currently enrolled in Marine Biology at Dalhousie. I previously worked as a veterinary technician in Ontario, but have since decided to continue my studies. I have always loved working with children. After my experience as an aupair in New Zealand, I wanted to continue working with children in my every day life. I have a passion for arts and crafts as well as the outdoors. I love sharing my passions with children so they can enjoy the world and all it has to offer the way I enjoy it. I am a very loving, compassion, caring person who just truly enjoys life. My outgoing personality makes it so children feel welcome and have fun around me. I am currently looking for full-time work during the summer months, but I am willing and would love to continue working throughout the school year. I am fairly flexible with my hours and would be willing to find a happy medium for both of us. I look forward to meeting you, Liane I was a live-in aupair for a family in New Zealand for a year. I cared for 2 children, a boy (3 turned 4) and a girl (5 turned 6). I was responsible daily (except on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, my days off) for the care of the children, including taking to and from school, daily activities, cooking, cleaning, putting to bed, reading stories and daily entertainment. Their parents owned a restaurant and had a very busy schedule. They would leave at 5 in the morning and occasionally didn't come home until 1-2 am. They would make appearances during the day but the majority of the responsibilities were mine. The son was not yet in day school, so he spent all day every day with me. They did do extracurricular activities that I would bring them too and I would go to all events that they threw. It was an incredible experience.
