Hello, My name is Karisa, I am a 24 year old woman with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Saskatchewan. I am passionate about caring for children and creating an environment that is fun, safe and promotes a healthy lifestyle. As a caregiver, I have experience with children aged under 1 and as old as young teens. As a previous employee of Boys and Girls Club Canada, I have worked in a variety of elementary schools as a before and after school care program leader. In this setting, there was typically a ratio of 10-15 children per 1 leader, (majority of my time was spent as a single leader with anywhere from 1-15 children to care for at any given time). Along with this experience of almost 2 full school years, I have experience with this same employer at full day summer day camps as well as working privately with families in their homes in my hometown in Saskatchewan. I am looking to work for a family that is playful, kind and happy. I am looking for casual/part time work. I am a bit of a nomad and cannot commit to extended contracts, but I'd be great for short term schedules or casual babysitting. I have my own transportation but am not willing to transport children in my own vehicle. I am open to driving other vehicles if needed.
