Hello, My name is Holly Keen. I am a 24 year old primary school teacher from Nanaimo, British Columbia. I also have credentials for Early Childhood education. I have been a nanny in British Columbia for 5 years and I have worked with children of all ages. I am willing to relocate and stay on long term if needed. I am extremely enthusiastic, outgoing and I love working with children. This past summer I completed a french program at the University of Victoria and speak, read and write french at an upper intermediate level. I love to cook and am more than willing to do housework, tutoring or anything else that is needed. I am looking for a long term position, preferably live-in with the opportunity to speak french and english. My interests include a variety of sports, teaching and reading. From 2009-201... I worked with a family with two fantastic children, ages 6 months, 7 and 9. From 2011-201... I cared for a family with four children, ages 4, 5, 7, and 10. In both positions, I was responsible for the well being of the children, as well as managing schedules, preparing meals and doing housework. I believe in a positive and safe environment where children will be able to share their opinions and celebrate their strengths and interests. I also believe in positive reinforcement as a way to motivate learning. Being a nanny for a family is about having fun, being silly, working as a team and collaborating with one another. Every child has something exceptional and invaluable to offer. Each child brings an entirely new dynamic, repertoire of skills and personality to a family. This past year, I taught French as a second language for Kindergarten to Grade 3 which was a wonderful experience that afforded me a great deal of experience in working with large groups of children.
