Hello! My name is Alexandra and I a a passionate educator, caregiver and wellness coach. My education consists in a BA in Communications and I am also a certified fitness coach ( YMCA) and mindfulness Life coach (ICF certified). I have also been teaching languages to kids aged 5-14 via Skype. At this time, I am pursuing my studies with passion and commitment in the health science and wellness field, as I gear towards medical school and disease prevention research. My drive is in helping and supporting others. My experience working in high-volume restaurants and hosting special events have given me a great aptitude to multi-task efficiently, prioritize and most importantly, no-matter what- serve those in front of me, always being present and available to their needs. I love children and working with them brings out my own inner child paired with the responsible , conscientious and independent caregiver that I am. In my spare time, I love to hike, cook, bake healthy sweets ( I am really good at making gluten -free brownies!!), walk and read! I have varied background which includes working as an children's arts instructor/supervisor at a children's overnight summer camp, where I had the pleasure of working with children aged 6 to 13. I have experience babysitting, children aged 3-7, preparing meals, and playing with them, in the absence of their parents. I also have 3 years of experience working with underprivileged youth as a live-in caretaker, supervisor and animator. As well, I have worked at the Children's department of the Westmount Public Library for 6 years, during which time, I have interacted and supervised, served and occasionally animated activities for young children, teenagers and their families. Lst year, I worked as an online language instructor to children aged 6-13, teaching them English and French via Skype.
