Nanny in Montreal, Quebec

I'm an
Individual
Hello, My name is Marilyne, I am in my mid-twenties, and I just recently relocated to Montreal. I am originally from here, but I spent the last four years in Vancouver and Toronto. I am a recent graduate from the Master in Visual Arts program, in the Department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory, at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Previous to receiving my Masters Degree, I completed a Bachelor Degree in Studio Arts from Concordia University in 2009. During my studies, I developed a focus in art education, community work and project development. I am perfectly fluent in both English and French and am an active artist. I started working in childcare at a very young age. I grew up with a brother 7 years younger then me, and started babysitting him and other children in my neighborhood when I was a teenager. During my early adulthood, I worked for 3 consecutive summers as a camp counsellor. After graduating from UBC, I worked as a substitute instructor for a not-for-profit society for visual and performing arts for children. For over three years, I also worked as an instructor and fundraiser for a non-profit organization that teach music and other creative skills to young girls, aged 7 to 16. In 2013, I was living in Toronto and worked as a childcare giver and educator for a private after-school childcare service that offers arts and cultural programing. There, I worked with children aged between 4 and 6. I was responsible for five children a day, for a duration of 6 hours, 2 to 5 days a week. My responsibilities included picking the kids from school at 11h30am and getting them ready for parents pick-up at 6pm, transportation, taking care of meals, keeping communication with the parents, playing with them, as well as doing the programming for field trips and activities. I also regularly babysat for the families outside of play school hours. I have a great passion for childcare. I am a very creative individual and I find that working with children is a great balance to my artistic life. I am imaginative and playful, but I also think that my academic background is a great advantage. I am very responsible and organized. I possess great administrative and multitasking skills, which always prove helpful when trying to accomplish the everyday tasks and keeping with plans and schedules. I have my CPR and First Aids training. I will be happy to provide references from my present and past employers, as well as a criminal background check and my complete resume on demand.
