Hi! My name is Dawan, and I'm a recent graduate from Nova Scotia College of Early Childhood Education (June 2020). I have work experience from a few highly qualified childcare centres and family centres here in Halifax. Not only do I have experience in the early years, but I am also an assistant basketball coach for a local high school. I am trained and qualified to Teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), which I have nearly five years of experience in. I am looking to nanny for a family wanting individualized, quality care, they can trust and depend on. I am laid back, down to earth, a strong listener, and one who pays attention to detail, yet I also love to smile. I have learned, and know the importance of building trust and attachment between myself and a child and their family (no matter the age). Which is why I believe in not forcing things, following a childs lead, going with the flow, and being honest and open. I am looking to help a family however I may help. Whether that's with school pick-ups, nannying/sitting during work hours, occasional nannying during the weeks, or just needing extra support to help you get through the days (I'm here to help!).
