We are looking for an amazing live-out nanny to help care for our two sons and manage our house, starting March 2015. Offering competitive wages and other benefits. Looking for a nanny that is creative, hardworking, loving, dedicated, punctual and dependable. Needed: Experienced, full-time, live-out childcare provider Duration of Employment: long-term, on an annual contract Start Date: March 2015 (exact date TBD) Number of Children: 1 infant boy (6 months) and after school care for a 3 year old boy Hours: Monday- Friday, 8am – 6pm with occasional evening and weekend work and possible occasional work prior to the start of the contract. Location: Dundas and Broadview, Toronto Childcare Responsibilities: • Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children • Tend to the children’s basic needs such as eating, diaper changes (cloth), napping, dressing in weather-appropriate clothing, etc. Possible potty training if age appropriate. • Prepare and feed healthy meals and snacks to children (food to be provided by families). Prepare dinner 2-3 times/week for the entire family. • Take children for daily outings (weather dependant) to local parks, drop-ins, libraries, baby cafés, playdates with other children, AGO, ROM, etc. • Plan and engage children in age-appropriate activities with substantial child development and educational value such as arts & crafts, tactile play, songs, pretend-play, dress-up play, reading together, etc. • Provide parents with a short daily update of the children’s activities, eating and naps. • Perform housework related to child care, including washing the children’s clothes and diapers, cleaning up after meals, tidying play areas, and washing bottles • Teach the children good social manners • Discipline the children, when necessary • Drive the children to and from activities • Administer medicine to the children when applicable Other: • The Employee agrees to keep updated First Aid and CPR, and to provide a Police Background Check. • The Employee will be responsible for their own meals but will have access to the family fridge. • The Employee must be punctual. • The Employee must have their own cell phone and be reachable at all times while working. Wages: • Hourly rate to be negotiated • The employer will deduct legislated deductions, including income taxes, CPP and EI from pay and will provide the employer with proper pay stubs and a T4 for tax purposes. Time off: 3 weeks over the course of the year, to be taken as 2 weeks over Christmas and 1 week to be taken at a point agreed to by both Employer and Employee. Employee is also eligible for any statutory holidays. 6 days to be used for illness, medical appointments, bereavement/compassionate leave. Cannot be used for vacation. The Employee will use best efforts to give the Employer at least twelve (12) hours’ notice before being absent due to illness. ***REFERENCES REQUIRED*** Not willing to sponsor.
