Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

Hi there, I'm a 25 year old education student training to become a French as a Second Language teacher (I have one more year to the program!). I am not a francophone but have worked hard to be able to achieve a level of French that certifies me to teach beginner students - meaning I will most likely end up teaching students between grades 4-6 (or possibly middle school). My previous experience with children, besides babysitting when I myself was a teenager, was teaching English in Thailand to 6 and 7 year olds. I love kids and am not particular about which age I work with (in teaching or nannying). The youngest I've worked with was a one and a half year old back in my babysitting days and I will admit to not having changed a diaper since! What I'm Looking For: I've picked up a summer job serving at a golf course which is primarily evenings so I'm looking for something to keep me busy a few days a week and add a little extra income to battle my student loans. As I mentioned above, I'm not picky about age, and am flexible with hours. A Bit More About Me: I'm originally from Ontario - a small town outside of Newmarket (GTA). I did my undergraduate at the University of Ottawa majoring in English, minoring in Communications. A few months after graduating i picked up and moved to Thailand to teach English for 6 months. After that I traveled and worked around New Zealand for 8 months followed by Australia for 5 months before moving home for a summer and then arriving here in Calgary last September to begin my After Degree. I love animals (especially dogs), hiking, colouring (adult colouring books are the best!), and generally being outside. I'd love to hear from you if it seems as though I fit your needs!
