Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

My name is Khalil. I recently finished the Early learning and child development program at Bowvalley College. I am currently working in a daycare in marda loop, teaching 16 preschoolers. I am however looking to work on a more personalized basis with families to offer a more well rounded and fun learning experience. I have found that using an emergent curriculum model allows for the child's interests and needs to be seen, met, and worked on. I have worked with children of varying abilities and am comfortable working with all ages. I volunteer every summer at a 5 day LGBT youth leadership camp. I am also involved with a Group that focuses attention on Queer youth of color and working with them to overcome societal issues they may face. I do not drive at the moment but I am in the process of learning how and getting comfortable with it. I walk and bike most places as I live on 17th ave, so ideally working for a family that lives downtown would work best for both parties I believe.
