Hi family! I am a 21 year old female currently in Teacher's College at Queen's University. I am sure that you could guess that I love working with children, which is why I have chosen to pursue teaching as a career. I think children offer such a fun and insightful perspective as they explore and learn about the world around them and I love being able to support and encourage them as they learn. And even better, having the opportunity to offer additional help with meal preparation, house keeping, errands, or other chores, will remove the stress of those chores so you have time to focus on other tasks. I have several years of experience working with children as a caregiver, a tutor, a mentor, and an assistant teacher. These experiences have allowed me to appreciate children's individuality, curiosity, and fun personalities, while building skills to communicate with children of different ages, provide support when necessary, and develop age appropriate activities and behaviour management strategies to ensure children are safe, comfortable, and having fun.
