Nanny in Ottawa, Ontario

Hello Future Family, I hope this message finds you well. I'm Fernanda. I am 32 and I am from Brazil. I'm graduated as Business Managment and I am currently studying my second University graduate of Pedagogy. I lived in the USA working as an Au pair for about 3 years, taking care of 4 kids with ages ranging from 2-16. In my second year as an Au Pair, I moved to Michigan, for one more experience and adventure. I took care of 2 boys - ages 2 and 5. After this amazing exeperience I got pregnant and I become a mommy of a handsome and smart little boy. He is 2 years old and he teaches me about life, empathy and love every day. He is also the reason that I am applying for this experience and having a chance to give him a better education and place to live. I consider myself a humble person who is happy to learn new things and encounter new adventures. I am happy, responsible, honest, talkative, intelligent, outgoing, affectionate, flexible.. and interested in finding a great family that I can learn and grow with. Here is a bit about my routine as an Au Pair in the USA: In my daily routine, I was responsible for getting the kids ready for school (making their lunches, feeding them breakfast, picking out their clothes, and taking them to school. Then, I make sure the kitchen area is cleaned up from breakfast. When the kids are finished with school, I picked them up and brought them home. I often played with the kids, taught them A-B-Cs, 1-2-3s, and read books to them. I often did extra jobs like laundry, organizing, etc. I also love to do crafts and make fun videos. My last host mom loved that I took lots of pictures of kids. In the afternoon, the kids had lots of activities and I was responsible for getting them ready and taking them to activities. These included soccer, karate, swimming lessons, yoga, library activities and events, play dates, and school events. I often got in the car and took the kids to the library or playground to have fun. I was potty training the 2-year-old boy and my first host kid in NY. I am very interested in learning more about your family and sharing my culture with you. I really enjoy cooking in my free time as well. I made several recipes for my families and the kids loved my cooking. I tried my best to get the kids involved. The 2 boys I took care of, love to mix and cut food. I tried to do lots of different things with them to make sure they were never bored. My last host mom did not like the boys to watch a lot of TV or play on the iPad so this is limited to shows that teach them or iPad apps that teach ABC's or 123s. They were always learning. The boys had even picked up some Portuguese from me. I will bring my experience as a Teacher in Brazil. I took care of children ages 2-14, giving me lots of valuable experience.
