Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

JOB OVERVIEW: To provide quality out of school care for two children aged 2 & 3 Monday to Friday from 4:30pm to 9:30pm and Saturdays all day on a permanent full-time basis. Both girls attend a private pre-school in the day and are used to structure, routine and being stimulated in a learning environment. The ideal candidate would engage the girls in various activities after school, assist with dinner and bedtime routine. This would be an ideal position for someone who loves working with children and can take charge of their daily route. QUALIFICATIONS: * Previous experience working with children. * Childcare training in child development, guidance, health and safety and/or nutrition. * Valid First Aid Certificate. * Strong planning, organizational, leadership and communication skills. * Able to participate in activities with the children and work flexible hours. * Creativity, initiative, enthusiasm, flexibility and a good sense of humour. * Good command of the English language. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS ARE AN ASSET: * Valid Driver’s license * ECE student or other formal training * Second language JOB DETAILS: * Salary: $11.00 - .../hr depending on experience * Schedule: 4:30pm -- 9:30pm (Monday to Friday) & 10am -- 6:00pm Saturdays * Expected Start Date: Immediately * Location: Champlain Heights
