Nanny Job in Ottawa, Ontario

Are you an energetic and joyful caregiver interested in supporting our family full-time beginning in March? Our family includes 2 girls, who will be 1 year old and 3 years old in March 2015, a professional mother and father, and a cat. We live in a modern home overlooking a vegetated yard, along the Rideau River recreational pathway. Our home is a 5 minute walk to the fields of Stanley Park in New Edinburgh, a 15 minute walk to the forest of Rockcliffe Park, and is serviced by OC Transpo routes 1, 5, 7 and 9. The children\'s daily schedule will continue to include: programming that is play-based and child-directed; a significant amount of time spent outdoors engaged in active creative play; repeated visits to local natural spaces; opportunities for socialization with other children; nutritious meals and snacks; and, regular rest times. In addition to caring for our children, we would like a caregiver to: prepare and provide balanced meals to our children and and assist with the preparation of family meals; and, assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our children\'s rooms and common rooms in the home. The successful candidate will have: formal training and practical experience in the field of early childhood education; a valid Standard Child First Aid and CPR certificate (or equivalent); no criminal record (a vulnerable sector criminal record check will be required); a minimum of two excellent references from past employers in the child care field; and, the capacity to develop an enduring relationship with our children.
