Nanny Job in North Vancouver, British Columbia

We are looking for a qualified nanny to care for two children, aged 10 months and 16 months. Our goal is for our children to be in the care of someone who will be positive, energetic, vibrant, and fun! We hope to find a long-term nanny who will act as an extended part of our families. The location is near Riverside Drive in North Vancouver and where majority of the care will take place (ie. no switching of houses each week). Qualifications: • Valid Drivers license for more than 2 years and own safe reliable vehicle. (Area not serviced well by public transit.) • Strong English communication skills. • Reliable, punctual, and tidy. • Possess all necessary VISAS and permits to work in Canada. • Current First Aid/CPR training. • Active and willing to spend time outdoors with the children as much as possible. Schedule: Start Date – August 10th, 2015 Monday to Friday with a start time of 7:30am and a finish time of anywhere from 5 – 6 pm. (Any time after 6PM would be considered overtime and an additional hourly rate of $15/hour would be paid.) All statutory holidays will be off and paid for. Two weeks of paid vacation, to be arranged as far in advance as possible to allow us to find alternate care for the children. Any additional work hours that you agree to take on (after 6PM on weekdays / occasional weekend care) will be paid on an hourly basis of $15/hour. Salary: $2,750/Month Gross Pay. (Deductions will be made as per Revenue Canada tax regulations.) Annual performance review with potential for wage increase. Duties: • Daily outdoor time - weather permitting (ie: walking, playtime in the yard/park, etc). • Daily literacy time (i.e. reading , singing nursery rhymes, etc). • Taking the children to any organized activities (i.e. babytales, swimming lessons, music class, Strong Start etc). • Playing with the children. • Following nap schedule to the best of your ability. • Changing diapers and keeping the children tidy. • Preparing and feeding the children a healthy breakfast, lunch, and snacks. • Cleaning up after the children during meal time and general play time. • Light housekeeping as directed when time permits (sweeping, dusting, laundry, etc). *Additional duties may be requested depending on children\'s needs
