From special events, to arts, crafts and a multitude of physical activities I have basically done it all in my years working in recreation. At times I have had more than 30 kids under my supervision with safety being my first priority in any activity that has been done. I have Standard first aid and cpr level though I think I need to get it renewed to be fully up to date on it. Worked 4 summers and after school while attending the U of A, running recreational programming for kids, special events and community. 8 months with the YMCA youth enterprise center, running life skills programming, physical activities. 1 year as Assistant Director of the Rundle Boys' & Girls' Club of Edmonton, running recreational and art programs, Summer camps out of the city, program creation, training of staff, overseeing of volunteers. 2 temporary contracts with Princess Cruises running recreational programming and special events on board a cruise ship.
