From my experience with children, I have always gotten along very well with all of them. I strive to put a smile on their face at all times because your childhood is something you will never get back. Childhood is something that shapes who you will become and the experiences and the people you meet add to that as well. I hope to teach children little things every day that in the long run will make a big difference in their lives. I went to high school in Hong Kong, and the majority of expat families have \\\"helpers,\\\" or live-in caregivers. It is always so heartwarming to see the relationship that the helpers create with the children of their employers, and the bond that is created between the two. I was a gymnastics coach and was responsible for organizing activities in advance for kids of ages varying from 4-10 years to take part in and assist them during the activities, encouraging them and making sure they were engaging in safe tasks that were suitable for their individual skill levels. I have a 10 month old nephew and 6 year old niece who I lived with this summer and constantly was around to observe my sister and her parental duties and I often looked after the children while she ran errands etc. I stayed with the children overnight multiple times when the parents were away, putting them down and going through their day time and night time routines fully. I was a nanny this summer, looking after a 2 year old girl and a 4 year old boy. I would either go to their house in the morning to pick them up and drop the boy off at school, then take the girl to my house or their house, depending on what the mother preferred. The day consisted of walks to the park, planning fun activities to do and picking the boy up from school. I would organize their meals and keep them occupied until their mother came home from work. I stayed overnight at their house one night, following the set instructions the mother gave me for their routines.
