I have 30 years experience working with children of all ages in many different settings as well as raising 2 amazing, successful sons of my own. I have a college diploma in Recreation Leadership, as well as numerous workshops on child development. As an Education Assistant for 17 yrs in the BC school system, I worked with children ranging in age from 5-18, with a wide range of cognitive, emotional and physical challenges. I am also trained as a primary Speech and Language assistant. I am also a classically trained pianist as well as a folk guitarist and vocalist. My approach to working with children is one of gentleness and humor combined with clear boundaries. Every child is an individual who needs to feel that they are being heard and supported while learning to navigate their way through their formative years.
