Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

For the last 2 years I have been working in a childcare center, primarily in infant and toddler classrooms, but also have a vast knowledge with the preschool age. As the owners of the center are retiring, they have decided to close it, and I am looking for a new challenge in childcare. Over the last 9 years I have held many positions working with children, from babysitting to being a nanny as well as camp councilor to currently an ECE. After university, I went to college and received my diploma in Early Childhood Education, which is truly become a passion of mine. I love caring for children and helping them achieve developmental milestones using age appropriate activities based on an individual child\'s interests. I personally prefer to use the play to learn method with children, asking open ended questions to further develop their skills. Patience is a strong quality of mine as well as scheduling and remaining flexible for a families needs. Currently I am seeking a position with a family in which there is open communication so that I am able to keep consistency with their parenting style and becoming an extended member of their family. Throughout the last 9 years I have held many positions with children, my most recent was working in a childcare center, caring for up to 8 children at a time. My duties have included feeding, bathing, diaper changing, toilet training, indoor and outdoor supervision and planning activities to assist in their growth and development. The youngest child I have cared for was 3 weeks of age, and have worked with children up to the age of 12.
