Hello! My name is Selina, and I am a university student who has completed her first couple of years of her undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science at Dalhousie University. I was previously a City of Toronto employee, meaning I have been through rigorous training, have passed a police background check (vulnerable sector), and have completed my CPR-C (which has since expired, unfortunately, due to being unable to renew during the pandemic). I have not only worked with children during city programs as a rink supervisor, but have also gained significant experience while looking after 3 children between the ages of 3 and 9 on a full-time basis. I also nannied for a family with a 1-year-old and a 4-year-old on a full-time basis. I have tutored elementary and middle school students, as well as students in my university courses, since I was 8 years old. I am an aspiring actuary who often volunteers, loves interacting with people, and has achieved a 3.85 GPA during her first years at university. I enjoy planning activities and acting as a mentor. I love being around children and becoming a positive influence in their lives, and I love creating fun and safe environments within which the children I look after can learn, play and grow. I am double vaccinated. I am looking for a position with a start date of early May, and will be available full-time until September (but the position does not necessarily have to be full-time).
